2017 Grammy's Fashion IRL

Red carpet style in real life

Another Grammy’s has come and go and today, instead of sharing our thoughts on the best (and worst!) dressed of the night, we’re showing you how to translate some of our favorites looks into outfits that you can actually wear IRL (in real life).

Taking inspiration from over-the-top celebrity style is one of my favorite ways to inject new trends into my everyday wardrobe -  and with just the right pieces, you too can achieve your very own version of Grammy’s 2017 style.

Ready on to see how we’ve recreated some of our favorite Grammy’s 2017 looks!

This year, Solange stunned on the red carpet in this over-the-top dress with one shoulder detailing and high slit. We have to believe you’re not headed to your next cocktail party in this exact ensemble, but we’re taking some serious inspiration from such a gorgeous gold party gown. See how we styled it below.

To recreate this look, we’ve paired this stunning midi, gold pleated skirt from TopShop, with a simple black tank and heels. It’s an easy and chic look that works for cocktail parties and other fancier nights out.

Demi’s ultra form-fitting, semi-see-through, cutout, chain link choker dress looked incredible on her. Wondering how you can create the more PG version of this look?

To bring this look to life (for real life!) we’ve selected this gorgeous nude choker dress from Missguided, toughening it up with a worn-in leather jacket and barely there heels. It strikes a perfect balance of sexy and sophisticated for a fun girls night out or special date with your significant other.

Kat’s dress was one of my favorites of the night - it was simple, yet so visually striking on the red carpet, looking as though it was made for her body! Bold stripes are a big trend for Spring and she played into this perfectly with her Grammy’s look.

To translate this look to work for your weekend errands, opt for a multicolor, striped midi dress, sneakers and bomber. It’s playful, simple and an elevated look when yoga pants just won’t do.

Talk about some sparkle. I love the way Hillary Scott’s dress reflected light and movement when she walked the red carpet. The graphic print was bold and thoughtful and was paired perfectly with her subtle hair and makeup. Now we’ll show you how to make a bold print work for you!
